Buddy ain’t getting no younger…

In The Puppy That Cried Woof (A Bad Dog Book), another joyful diversion from business-as-usual in Tim Robinson‘s outstanding A Tropical Frontier series, Buddy, the hero of Gone with the Woof (A Bad Dog Book), gains an understudy! Although Grandpappy (and Buddy) isn’t (aren’t) all that excited about it, Grandma loads Annie, Jack, and Paul into the car for the trip to Uncle Joe’s to pick out a brand-new puppy for Buddy to train for life at The Last Resort.

“Mm-mm,” Uncle Joe mumbled, obviously pleased. “Now this here, kids, is a gooood dog. This here is the best dog of the lot, in my opinion. This one here’s got spunk.” He looked at the kids. “You kids know what spunk is?”

The new puppy, Uncle Joe’s pick of the litter, IS all that excited about her new home, fitting into the menagerie of critters on this South Florida acreage. It’s business as usual… …that is, until Carl the coyote begins a rampage that will require a heroic response.
